What is orthodontics?

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry in which deformities concerning position of jaws and teeth are corrected by using either fixed or removable appliances. Apart from providing proper alignment of teeth, by making esthetics and function ideal, it contributes to advancement of an individual’s quality of life.
